After graduating
from college with an M.A. in clay and glassblowing,
Jeanne studied drawing in Berlin and apprenticed in
pottery with Margarete Weidemann in Regensburg, Germany.
In 1975, she moved to Las Cruces,NM and began a 30 year
stint of doing art fairs across the country. In 2005,
she stopped doing fairs to concentrate on painting.
She presently has a show of 20 large paintings at the
Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum. This past spring she
had paintings accepted into two nationally juried art
shows, one at The Prince Street Gallery juried by Irving
Sandler and another at the Creative Arts Workshop in
New Haven, Ct. juried by William Bailey, prof. emeritus
of Yale. She works dailey at The Potteries in historic
old Mesilla. |
